Kattens evolution
Eftersom många har katter här tänkte jag att det kanske var av intresse.

* Till skillnad från andra domesticerade varelser, husets katt bidrar lite för människors överlevnad. Forskare har därför undrade hur och varför katter kom att bo bland människor.
* Experter traditionellt trott att egyptierna var de första att HEMkatten några 3600 år sedan.
* Men de senaste genetiska och arkeologiska upptäckter visar att katten tämjande inleddes den bördiga halvmånen ", kanske runt 10.000 år sedan, när jordbruket kom igång.
* Resultaten tyder på att katter började göra sig hemma runt människor att dra fördel av de möss och matresterna i deras bosättningar.
